Why do Royals Wear Hats?

Royals often know a thing or two involving fashion and style, particular in formal conditions. All royals like Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and Euginene dressed to the nines. Certainly, they all have impressed the public though highlights of their outfits, such as tiaras, hats, gloves, etc. Of course, some casual hats not suitable for formal events like a bucket hat, cap, beanie and others would not appear at formal events. It’s obvious that most chic choices of royals follow royal dress codes rather than personal preference. Let’s look into formal style rules the whole royal family have to follow.

Why Royals Wear Hats at Formal Events?

In reality, wearing hats isn’t a thing of royal family, but a thing of the British people. In general, hats are taken as formal daytime attire, and they often appear at weddings and other luxurious events. Small daytime activities like a garden party seems common to ordinary people, but it is considered as a formal one. In this case, Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton and other royals are expected to wear hats. Similarly, male royals might also wear hats in such occasions while it is more common for female royals to sport such accessories.

“Before the late 1950s, it was rare to see ladies who didn’t wear hats in public occasions, because it was not allowed to show their hair in the presence of the public. ” Diana Mather said, a senior tutor of an etiquette consultancy. She added, “The tradition has changed and hats are accessories for formal occasions.” In spite of stringent dress codes of royal family, hats are not allowed in some occasions to avoid obscuring vision of spectators behind them.

How to Tell Hats from Fascinators?

Besides hats, fascinators also take an important role at formal events. As a type of formal headpiece, they are often attached to hair through hair clips or hair combs. Embellishments of fascinators may varied in materials, styles, designs and the like. The most obvious difference between hats and fascinators is that a hat fits around the whole head while a fascinator is often attached by clips, combs, headbands, etc.

Stringent Dress Codes to Royals

In addition to hats and fascinators, royals have to obey strict style rules, so that they could come into the sight of public in suitable clothes and accessories. Some may wonder when royals need to wear tiaras. Follow my steps and try to find answers.

Tiaras are regarded as specific accessories for white-tie events, and only married women are allowed to wear them. Except for wearing them on a royal wedding or a coronation, tiaras seldom appear in public occasions. Although Princess Beatrice and Eugenie’s were born with blue blood, they couldn’t wear tiaras until marriage. Put another way, a royal female member could only don a tiara on her wedding day for the first time. On wedding days, royals could borrow a tiara from the queen. Many have borrowed one from her, such as Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle, etc. Since then, royals are allowed to borrow different tiaras.

Meghan Markle’s Mom Has Been Invited to Christmas by the Queen

When a commoner marries to the royal family, we are all fascinated by them. Of course, there are good reasons for this. Kate Middleton and Megan Markle are smart and charming women who open a window into the mysterious, traditional world of the royal family.

Marriage always means compromise, merging two different lives and different families into a new unit. But there is a problem with marriage to royalty: in general, non-royals make more compromises and sacrifices than royals. For example, there is no discussion on how to divide holidays. You spend all the holidays with the Queen because she is the Queen.

This year, Elizabeth seemed to break the royal tradition for another member of the Megan family: her mother, Dolia Raglan.

Meghan Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, has been invited to Sandringham to spend Christmas with the Royal Family and Queen Elizabeth — and it’s kind of big deal.

Two things to note: One, it means the Queen really, really likes Meghan and wants her to feel like part of the family. Two, it breaks with royal precedent as even Kate Middleton’s parents have never been invited to stay at the estate. (They’ve instead joined the royals at church for Christmas morning service and have stayed at nearby Anmer Hall.)

Back in May, Doria was the only member of Meghan’s family to attend her wedding to Prince Harry at Windsor Castle, and it’s been reported that she is looking to move to the U.K. permanently to be closer to her daughter.

British royal expert William Hanson explained to Personal Space why a holiday invite to Sandringham in Norfolk is a major step for the Queen.

“To invite someone who is not a member of the royal family to the family Christmas at Sandringham is a step away from the norm but is another kind gesture from Her Majesty The Queen,” Hanson said.

He added the Queen probably took in consideration that Kate’s family have each other, whereas Doria’s family is really only Meghan.

“The Duchess of Cambridge’s parents are yet to be invited for the Christmas celebrations itself, however they have a larger family of their own, whereas Mrs. Ragland — as we saw in May — is more or less on her own,” he says. “Good manners are all about including and The Queen reigns supreme in this regard. Her Majesty clearly enjoys The Duchess of Sussex’s company and sometimes differing views on life, and is extending one of the ultimate courtesies by inviting Meghan’s mother.”

“This marks the Queen’s respect for Megan and shows that she has no other relatives in British, unlike Kate, she has the support of a very close family.”

Megan Markle is now a Member of the British Royal Family, Can she Vote?

As one of the oldest royal families in the world, the British royal family has many interesting traditions and rules which still affect the life of the members of the royal family today. Today, let’s take a look at the interesting traditions and rules of the British royal family. The royal family attaches great importance to its own words and deeds, after all, in many people’s eyes, the influence of every move of the royal family is quite great. So in order not to influence politics or public opinion, the British royal family has made some rules, such as the members of the royal family do not have the right to vote, the members of the royal family are not allowed to hold any political office, etc.

Since marrying Prince Harry in May, Megan Markle’s life has changed dramatically because she is the Duchess of Sussex-including her political speech. As a new senior member of the royal family, Megan and her husband, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are not usually expected to vote. While they have the right to do so, they are thought to be following in the footsteps of the Queen and remain neutral on political issues. Buckingham Palace had previously told Newsweek that members of the royal family “close to the Queen” would not exercise their right to vote “in accordance with established practice,” and Kensington Palace declined to comment.

But without voting, Los Angeles-born Megan knows the importance of using her votes. Just last week, she gave a vehement speech in New Zealand on women’s voting rights. The 37-year-old mother-to-be also published a lengthy article on the vote in 2016 and uploaded it to her now-closed blog, Tig.

“The right to vote is something for which people shed blood, sweat and tears,” Megan wrote on the closed blog Tig. “The struggle for this freedom is endless. Referring to her vote, she said: “I ticked the list of absentee voters last week, closed my eyes, and remembered my great-grandparents, who didn’t have that right (think if they had. So on this day, we urge you to exercise the right, please vote! In fact, we can make us lucky.

On the final stop of her royal tour in Wellington, Megan talked about women’s voting rights on the 125th anniversary of women’s voting rights. “Yes, women’s right to vote is about feminism, but feminism is about fairness,” she said. The right to vote is not only about the right to vote, but also about what it stands for. The basic and fundamental human right to vote for the right to choose. The future and the future of your community. Participation and voice make you a part of the world you belong to.

Although Megan was in the process of becoming a British citizen, she was still eligible to vote by proxy. So, do you think Megan should vote?

Harry and Megan’s wedding, despite widespread concern, but the British people is more calm. Kate’s parents in her native family are close and loving, and that’s what Kate adds. Megan’s parents divorced when she was six years old. Megan had a good relationship with his mother, but with her father. Megan could go to a prestigious school and make a career in Hollywood, related to his parents’ careful cultivation as a teenager. Megan’s mother never remarried after her divorce. Kate’s title is Duchess of Cambridge, corresponding to Prince William’s Duke of Cambridge. Technically, Kate and Megan do not have the title “Princess”, while their mother-in-law Diana is called “Princess of Wales” because Charles is “Prince of Wales”. Whether Kate and Megan get the title of Princess or not, they are bound to marry a prince.

The King’s acceptance of Megan suggests that times have changed and that royal marriage has become less restrictive. In fact, Charles married Camilla from 2005 can be seen. Prince Charles was determined to change the law three years ago to marry Camilla at St. George’s Church in Windsor Castle. Interestingly, Charles Camilla’s wedding took place, the same as Harry Megan’s. Camilla, who was second-married, was able to marry into the royal family, the third party to Charles’ last marriage, and Megan, who was second-married.

Moreover, Harry and Megan met when men and women were unmarried and single, and it was natural to fall in love and get married. Thousands of nights ago, both Kate and Megan shared their happiness today as Princess Diana waded out. The Diana is the brave woman who broke the taboo of the times. When the British royal family only asked her to meet her husband and teach her children, she expanded the career of the British princess with her own. She could make a contribution to charity.
